Medico Plus

Medico was designed to address both patient and staff needs in healthcare facilities. Multifunctional and powerful, the luminaire family delivers low glare illumination without light trespass in multi-patient room settings. Medico Plus offers Exam, Ambient, and Reading modes.

LED arrays provide consistent illumination across available color temperatures from 2700K to 5000K. Standard 80+ CRI with optional 90+ CRI, including enhanced red rendering. Color consistency maintained within 3 SDCM.

Dim to Warm (Sola)
Dim to Warm (Sola)

Single-channel dim-to-warm control adjusts color temperature as light levels decrease. Transitions from 3500K to 2200K.

Tunable White (Duo)
Tunable White (Duo)

Two-channel tunable white control allows adjustment of color temperature across a defined range to support varying lighting requirements throughout the day.

Full-Spectrum
Full-Spectrum

Full-spectrum LED arrays provide broad spectral distribution for enhanced color rendition and material clarity.

Optics
EDPO

The Environmentally Protected Direct Optic (EPDO) creates a seal that blocks debris and moisture, and withstands UV distortion and moderate impact. This extruded snap-in lens has a gasket to ensure proper sealing. The lens is 1/16″ thick and made of frosted polycarbonate. Internally, white side-kicking reflectors guide the light through the lens. The EPDO is suitable for moderate climate environments.

NPO

Nano-Prismatic Optic (NPO) is composed of multiple nano-prismatic refractors that bend light with high precision. The NPO’s nanostructure eliminates pixelation from the LED diodes, resulting in a harmonious lens appearance. Light distribution is glare-free, concentrated, and 20% sharper than that from a frosted acrylic lens.

ULO

Uniform Efficiency Lambertian Optic (ULO) is thermoformed from impact-modified white PMMA. The ULO optic provides even luminosity with up to 88% transmission. Combined with the LED array running around the inside of the housing, the open form and ULO optic create a widespread 50% direct and 50% indirect light distribution with a spacing criterion of 1.6.

Durability

  1. Side lenses are made of either frosted smooth acrylic or a nanoprismatic lens.
  2. The center lens is a gasketed, frosted, high-grade polycarbonate designed to meet IP54 requirements.
  3. An optional reading light is available with HyFlex™ optics, a unique quad-tiered optical system for even light distribution.
  4. The frame is gasketed, and side lenses can be gasketed as an option to meet IP54. An optional door with a polycarbonate lens and tamper-resistant screws is available to meet IP64.
