Cluster Surface

Downlight

Cluster Surface is available in linear and cuboid configurations with downlight, parabolic, and wall-wash optics. Nominal light output is 200 lumens per cell, with efficacy over 80 LPW. Linear fixtures are available in cell configurations of 1, 3, and 5; cuboids are available in 2″ × 2″ and 3″ × 3″ arrays, and clusters fit deep cuboid enclosures of 3″, 8″, or 12″. Cluster Surface can be mounted using a direct feed, a junction box with canopy, or a conduit feed with splice enclosure, with an integral or remote driver capable of powering multiple luminaires.

Optics
PAR

Parabolic louver optics provide excellent shielding and a pleasing crisp visual texture. The parabolic contour of the blades and side reflectors direct light into a comfortable downlight distribution, while minimizing shadows from the LED array above each cell. Four finishes are available. Specular Aluminum (SPL), Matte Aluminum (MPL), Matte White (WPL) and Matte Black (BPL).

The Sharp Edge Downlight creates dramatic impact by limiting light spread outside the primary beam. A molded conical reflector redirects light from each emitter into the desired beam angle, while a 0.5″ reflective square louver provides cutoff with a UGR of 10. Three different TIR elements offer a choice of beam spreads: 15° spot (SPT), 30° flood (FLD), or 45° wide flood (WFL).

SOF

Soft Edge Downlight blends light into darker areas for a gentle brightness transition. Each LED emitter directs light through a custom-molded circular optic using total internal reflection (TIR) to shape the beam. A 0.5″ reflective square louver provides cutoff with a UGR of 10, and three TIR elements allow selectable beam spreads: 25° Narrow Flood (NFL), 35° Flood (FLD), or 55° Wide Flood (WFL).

Optics
WRO

Wall Wash Reflector Optics (WRO) – Clusters of Linear Wall Wash optics use multiple mid-flux emitters in a continuous array, supported by an angled board. An aluminum reflector collects and redirects emitter flux, while a refractive film adjusts both vertical and horizontal intensity and eliminates the source image. The result is excellent uniformity up and down the wall, as well as between luminaires.

Glare Control and URG

Very small sources of light can diminish visual comfort. The Universal Glare Rating (UGR) model assesses the glare from an installation of luminaires, based on the number and light distribution of the luminaires and the parameters of the space.

Ratings range from 5 to 40; lower ratings are better. As the table shows, Cluster downlights achieve a UGR of 11-18*, which is very comfortable and suitable for applications such as conference rooms, hospitality, and boutique retail.

Colors

Clusters are available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K, all with 90 CRI, providing rich color rendering. Tight color consistency is maintained within 2 SDCM.

Clusters with parabolic louvers are also available with ChromaWerx Sola and Duo. Sola provides a dim-to-warm effect, warming color temperature in a predetermined relationship as output dims. Duo provides a tunable white effect, with independent control of color temperature and light output. See specification sheets for details.
