Lumenwerx partners with Stroph Architecture & Design to illuminate a minimalist residential build.
Taking inspiration from traditional Indigenous longhouses, Chalet Tissaraouata, conceived by Stroph Architecture & Design, is a masterclass in minimalist residential design. From site to materials, every decision was made with sensitivity to the surrounding landscape with the goal of creating a home where architecture, nature and light exist in harmonious balance. Lumenwerx was brought in to ensure the same sense of harmony was reflected in the lighting.
To make it happen, the design team selected our Pivot architectural linear magnetic track system. Pivot was chosen for its ability to deliver lighting precision and aesthetic cohesion with the chalet’s pared-back interiors. Throughout the home, Pivot’s white luminaires deliver glare-free illumination, highlighting the warmth of the knotty pine finishes and complementing the natural light that floods in from the home’s expansive windows.
In addition to Pivot’s minimalist appearance, the system’s modular, tool-free magnetic system gives the homeowners the flexibility to reposition fixtures effortlessly as needed. This means lighting can be easily moved and adjusted for intimate family moments or larger gatherings. The simplicity of the fixtures also helps them blend right into the chalet’s overall design, letting light radiate throughout the home, without drowning out the subtlety of the home’s architecture.

At Chalet Tissaraouata, thanks to the effortless simplicity of the Pivot system, lighting will help amplify those connections, working to shape the lived experiences of everyone who will call it home.
