Lumenwerx fixtures create a connected, California-inspired lighting environment for a law office.
Lumenwerx fixtures make a compelling case for balanced, sophisticated design at the new Rutan & Tucker law offices in Costa Mesa, California. Conceived in partnership with site architect Gensler, the lighting plan incorporates a suite of luminaires from four collections, all selected to complement the office’s functional architecture and warm California vibe.
In addition to generous ceilings and full-height glass office fronts, the space includes panoramic views of the ocean and mountains. This meant the lighting scheme would need to perform and integrate with natural sources of light. To achieve the desired effect, luminaires were selected from the Via, Voilà, Squero, and Cluster collections, all chosen for their unique strengths and adaptable features.
Via luminaires were selected for lighting private offices, corridors and shared spaces, while Voilà, with HyFlex™ optics, offered focused illumination in busy areas. Next, Squero linear fixtures were incorporated for soft, soothing texture, while Clusters provided discreet downlighting to enhance visual comfort without interrupting sightlines.
Together, the four complementary collections work to support the architect’s vision for an elegant, connected interior. The lighting scheme helps highlight the law firm’s legacy, corporate culture, and breezy feel of the space itself. The result is a showpiece office where light elevates architecture, enhances usability, and emphasizes a distinctly Californian sense of openness and light.
