Lumenwerx works with Gensler to create a warm feeling of home, at the corporate HQ of a hospitality leader.
At T2’s Newport Beach headquarters, warmth, immersive illumination and a cozy feeling of home are on the menu. Designed by architecture firm Gensler, this stunning 13,089-square-foot penthouse with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, reimagines the modern workplace as a living space. The completed office evokes a luxury apartment, an apt scenario for an investment firm with deep roots in hospitality.
Lumenwerx was brought on at the design phase to reflect the company’s vision with a lighting system aiming to highlight the project’s architectural nuances. Featuring our Via 1.5 luminaires, the system plays a central role in supporting the volumes of space created by high ceilings, large windows, and unique ceiling treatments.
Compact yet immensely powerful, Via gave designers the precision and flexibility they needed across a variety of spaces. In addition to offering warm illumination to complement the abundance of natural light, the system’s fine-tuning capabilities helped enhance spatial hierarchy and produce a richly layered sense of visual comfort.
By working in conjunction with the architects and design team, Lumenwerx succeeded in effortlessly integrating light into the office’s open architecture. Rather than overpowering architectural details, the system adds to the atmosphere, making a visit to the office feel more like a communal experience than a business meeting.
