Nova

Nova features both flat and slope shielding, composed of two elements. The central Precision Micro-prism Optic (PMO) is 0.125″ acrylic, molded into pyramidal prisms with a 0.04″ square base. Two side elements of High efficiency Lambertian Optic (HLO) are made of 0.075″ thick acrylic provide a minimum of 88% transmission and good source concealment. A hinged center basket contributes to easy and time-saving maintenance.

Vega

Vega features a gently curved shielding, composed of two elements. The Median Textured Optic (MTO) is a convex, ribbed diffusing element, flanked by High efficiency Lambertian Optics (HLO). These concave side panels of diffusing 0.075″ thick acrylic provide a minimum of 88% transmission and good source concealment. Placement of the arrays and shielding contours is optimized for luminaire efficacy, comfort, and visual appeal. A hinged center basket contributes to easy and time-saving maintenance.

Optics

Side Lens - High Efficiency Lambertian Optic (HLO)

Engineered with curved side diffusers of 0.075” thick acrylic, our HLO offers 88% transmission with effective source obscuration. Luminaire brightness is controlled by the flux-to-shielding area ratio in conjunction with a gentle gradient from center to edge.

Precision Micro-prism-optic (PMO)

CENTER LENS – Precision Micro-prism-optic (PMO) utilizes a specially designed catadioptric lens that combines refraction and internal reflection. The square-base prism is 24% the size of those used in a high-performance fluorescent lens. The exclusive two-dimensional array of prisms is designed to eliminate the glare found at higher viewing angles and as such, enables a glare cut-off at a 45º viewing angle. The acrylic material itself is untinted, relying entirely on catadioptric control for effective source obscuration. A highly efficient TIR process at the acrylic-air interface on the prism surfaces redirects incident light with less than a 0.1% loss per reflection. As a result, these LumenWerx optics attain a high optical efficiency greater than 90%, while maintaining visual comfort at normal viewing angles and presenting a pleasing luminous appearance.
