Lumenwerx collaborates with Gensler to illuminate and energize Audacy’s reimagined headquarters.
Housed inside a century-old car factory, Audacy’s 60,000-sq-ft headquarters in Philadelphia set a vibrant stage for the company’s radio broadcast business. Working with project architects Gensler, Lumenwerx created a lighting scheme to express the company’s energy and creativity, while lighting up recording studios, live performance spaces and offices.
To customize a solution for the historic space, the design team worked with Via collection luminaires to highlight the architectural vision and support the demands of a state-of-the-art broadcast facility. Thanks to its elegant stature and modular components, Via’s flexibility gave the architects the ability to shape light to the site’s many diverse zones.
For an additional dynamic layer, the lighting strategy also featured integrated Chromawerx Quadro (RGBW). This lets Audacy staff program color and lighting effects in key areas of the building to enhance live events, broadcasts and everyday office activities.
Through thoughtful collaboration and a customized Via solution, Lumenwerx helped realize a lighting scheme that balances performance with creativity and expression. The result is a workplace that meets the client’s technical needs and uses light as a powerful medium for connecting people, space and sound.
