Curvia recessed luminaires find a place in a unique collaborative workspace: Amway’s’ new Treehouse.
As companies everywhere begin to rethink the “office,” workplaces are being designed with a more thoughtful approach to collaboration, focus and community. Along with updated architectural elements, lighting is playing an increasingly critical role in helping shape functional and inspiring environments. At the Amway Treehouse, a new collaborative hub, Lumenwerx helped design a lighting strategy to bring this modern design vision to life.
Conceived as a connector building to link two larger structures, the two-storey Treehouse serves as a sort of gathering place where people can meet and collaborate. Working with the project’s design team, we implemented a solution based on Curvia 2 recessed luminaires, to help illuminate the space and contribute to the overall sense of openness, connection and creativity.
Along busy pathways near the company café, through meeting rooms and community spaces, Curvia’s gentle curves subtly define zones and support the busy energy of the Treehouse. the recessed integration of the luminaires also allows the architecture and materials to take centre stage, while LED drivers serve to provide comfortable illumination for focused work.
By offering architectural integration with fluid, precision-engineered geometry, Curvia helps reinforce Amway’s core desire for the space: a workplace that’s as adaptable to different modes of working as it is to illuminating community and inspiring active minds. That’s a treehouse worth playing in.
