Lumenwerx partners with DKA architects to craft a dynamic lighting strategy with real momentum.
We love it when a lighting plan gains momentum. For its new flagship in Mascouche, Quebec, Bicycles Quilicot needed a solution that would deliver real impact for what would be much more than a simple bike shop. Designed by DKA Architects, the project merges a boutique, distribution centre, and the company’s head office into a cohesive environment. Illumination would play a central role in helping the rubber meet the road, so to speak.
Lumenwerx was brought in to craft a lighting strategy that supports function while creating a high-end atmosphere throughout the space. From a dramatically illuminated bike wall visible from a nearby highway to the sales floor and offices, each zone is lit by luminaires carefully selected for power and performance.
Central to the overall strategy is our Cluster Downlight, delivering refined, optically sophisticated LED illumination that highlights merchandise and key structural details. Retail display zones are illuminated by suspended geometric Poly 2′ x 2′ pendants, while focused downlighting from Voilà 2 Cylinders adds depth and clarity. Squero Hubs introduce dynamic illumination through intersecting pendants that enhance visual interest throughout the space. Accent and feature lighting from Revo Pendants define pathways and focal points with precise, glare-controlled performance.
Together, this layered suite of luminaires creates a cohesive, exhibition-like environment that harmonizes the architect’s vision with a sense of momentum befitting such a revered cycling brand.
