Lumenwerx crafts a gridiron-inspired lighting plan for the NFL’s west coast headquarters. Let’s go!
Ready for some football? At the National Football League’s West Coast headquarters, infusing the energy of the game into a workplace environment required a lighting strategy that echoes gridiron performance. Working closely with the design team, Lumenwerx helped develop an approach that cohesively translates the visual language of the sport across a variety of workspaces.
Kicking off in open office areas, Via pendants establish a strong visual framework that emulates the grid patterns of a football field. The linear fixtures are arranged to evoke yard markings and deliver the low-glare illumination required in an environment filled with large TV screens. Throughout the space, Via’s clean lines also create a striking visual contrast against the dark ceiling plane.
In boardrooms, our Cluster Combinations recessed fixtures make a great play, extending the grid-like geometry overhead. With precise beam control and clean apertures, they focus illumination downward while reinforcing visual continuity from space to space. This same field-inspired design logic extends into corridors and entryways through Via recessed fixtures, installed to guide movement and maintain cohesion.
In contrast with the grid-like installations, Voila 2 Downlights square introduce a softer ambient glow in high-traffic areas. Particularly effective in a wide-open welcoming area, their compact form adds depth and eye-catching contrast to the bold ceiling patterns.
Altogether, the lighting strategy scores a solid touchdown, blending function while capturing the essence of the NFL and the game of football itself.
