Learn how our Aera Cylinder and Curvia luminaires are helping generate forward momentum for Kraft Heinz Canada.

Designed and built by Syllable Design and Mulvey & Banani, Kraft Heinz’s new office in Toronto’s Old Food Terminal was conceived as a high-performance workspace. The office features bright, wide-open common areas, workstations, meeting and conference rooms, even an Instagrammable wall featuring logos of the company’s many brands. Lumenwerx was brought on to help fill all these spaces with light.

Lumenwerx was brought on to help fill all these spaces with light. Collaborating with the designers and architects, a lighting plan was developed based on a combination of our Aera Cylinder and Curvia luminaires. Aera Cylinder were selected to complement the warmth of the entranceway’s undulating ceiling, while Curvia luminaires were chosen to echo the soft geometry of the furniture plan, and historic factory-style ceiling elements.

Together, Aera and Curvia work to create a harmonious interplay of light and texture. Whether brightening collaborative spaces, providing task lighting in focus zones, or creating Instagram-worthy lighting for selfies, the selected luminaires tag-team to achieve the site’s functional goals, and create a cohesive sense of belonging no matter where in the office visitors might be.

The end result of the teamwork between Lumenwerx and the design and architect partners, is a workplace with a very contemporary, yet human-centric feel. It’s the sort of work environment people want to be in and are proud to call their own. Lumenwerx is honored to have played a role in lighting the way for such an iconic company, with such a forward-looking vision.
